Driving Miss Daisy and Steel Magnolias are two old favorites. Anything that Robert Redford or Paul Newman ever did and Meryl Streep.
This picture is of our daughter, Kim who went to be with our Lord in June of 2001. This was her freshman Chi Omega composite picture. She loved her sororiety and loved college life. That ended with a tragic car accident in 1982 that severed her spinal cord at the first vertebrae. Thanks be to God,against all odds and with great spirit, she lived 19 years and 4 months. After the first 7 months spent in ICU, she was at home and I was her caregiver. She accomplished much, her body didn't work but her brain did. She helped run a non profit organization to help handicapped people and she became our city's first web master. She taught her old Mom how to use a computer too. I put this picture and the slideshow below, here in her honor and memory. She was very much loved by all her family and anyone who knew her.

Oldies, I'm a 50's kid, give me that old time rock and roll. Elvis can't be beat, he was the "best"! I also enjoy the music of the 70's-80's. Sometimes I simply want quiet instrumentals so you will find my page changing with my moods.

I love to read. Some favorite authors are, Mary Kay Andrews, Dorothea Benton Frank, Jan Karon's Mitford series, Ann B. Ross's Miss Julia books and Eugenia Price wrote some of the best books I've ever read. She wrote fiction but based it all on historical facts, they make one feel like part of the families they read about. I also enjoy a good mystery, Nora Roberts, Judith McNaught, Fern Michaels, so many more. I don't read as much now, I find myself sitting with the computer most of the time.

The slide show below is of my family over the years. We love each of them so very much. Our 2nd daughter, Kim died in 2001, 19 years and 4 months after an automobile accident that left her a quadriplegic and on life support. We learned the internet and computers together, she and I. She used her's with a special program made for her and was our city's web master. She was "very" special.

This slide show is of our yard, my two pet birds and the land my husband grew up on and now owns with his brother. The entire family loves it, we have so many great memories of time spent there when his parents were still living.

I am a wife, a Mother and a Grandmother and my family is my life. I worked a few years when my first two girls were teens at our local university. I enjoyed that but 'retired' to take care of our daughter Kim after her accident which I tell about under her picture on this page. I love my family and I love my pets as is very obvious. *smile*
We both "dote" on Laci, our Pekingese who was 4 years old this past Christmas. My elderly Himilayan cat died and I had thought I would not get another cat but Laci missed him as did I so we got Foxy. She was not a kitten, but was 15 months old when I got her. She and Laci get along great but Foxy is a Daddy's girl so I had to find a cat to love me. Enter Button Bear (Buttons) who is very loving, loves to be held and snuggled which Foxy does not enjoy. They get along well with each other and Buttons and Laci are pals too. They are a lot of fun to watch playing together.
This week (2-8-10)Bama came to live with us, he is a little love bug and I adore him. Foxy loved him instantly and so did Laci and today (3 days later) Buttons has decided to play with him too. They are all wonderful company.

I love going to the beach! We are approximately 120 miles from Panama City Beach and not quite that much to Destin's beautiful beaches. We love to go to both and AL has beautiful beaches but a much longer drive for us to visit them. I find the gulf waters very calming to my spirit and pleasant any time of year. There is nothing like sunset at the beach. I love all animals, as I have told, we have a Pekingese dog(Laci) and three Persian cats (Foxy ,Buttons & Bama). I have two exotic birds, a Cockatiel and a Quaker. My cats are in the slide show presentation below. The birds can be found in the first one, top of my page. *smile*

I don't like cold weather. Hurricanes! Tornados! Anyone that would harm a helpless animal or child. SNAKES!

Computer graphics, I love doing them and have done my own website backgrounds as well as for a Dogster group for many years. I've been using JASC's PSP since the mid 90's. I have recently purchased the newest PSP by Corel and am finding it excellent and user friendly. I am now enjoying designing layouts for myself and for NOTH.
