Hubby doesn't really care to watch them, so I usually fire up the computer and watch with the ear buds in!

Does Veggie-Tales count?
I do like Big Band, Jazz and Swing music, so I guess my soul is older than I am!

Married for 29 years, two fabulous daughters, two fun son-in-laws, one Marine son, three hilarious grandsons and three beautiful granddaughters. I used to work from home doing Medical Transcriptioning but now I am employed full-time, working for my husband as his office assistant, which should be interesting!! Maybe this old dog isn't too old to learn a few new things after all! Besides, now I get to tell him what to do at home AND at work!

Update on my Marine......well, he is still in training in Virginia Beach, Dam Neck to be exact. He made it about halfway through the class and failed out, which, it seems, about 40% of the student do. He is waiting to be picked up again but this has been delayed because they want to test him for dyslexia. We know he has this as he has been tested before, and we have struggled with it throughout his schooling. Problem is, in usual military fashion, they have sent him to the wrong doctor twice. The last one gave him a "personality test"! He found out that he has one! His spirits are a bit down as he really wants to be out there serving, but is hanging in there for now. He also had his cell phone ruined in tropical storm Hanna, so his means of communication with friends and family has been severely limited. If you remember, please pray that God in His infinite mercy will continue to prove to him that he is where he is supposed to be and that things will work out!

Cold weather!
Not having a cat or dog around the house. We have had a cat and two dogs in the house at once, along with the three kids, and all have passed on now. And, the kids are gone....so it is way too quiet! My husband doesn't think so, thus, no animals.

We are finished with the remodeling projects!! Yea !! The six grandkids all come over now and they have a new "playroom" where all of their toys are stashed and they have their own TV so they can watch movies! They help pick it up when they are done playing now :), probably because they are getting older and are proud to have something of their own. They still wear me out sometimes, but you gotta love 'em. The oldest is going to be five in October and the youngest is getting ready to turn one. It is fun watching their personalities grow as they become "little people". They all live in the same town as we do, so we are truly blessed to be able to spend time with them..

I haven't checked in for awhile and wanted to know how your son was doing.  Times do get tough, but God always has a reason.

Bless you and your family,

Lana
