I have been hit and miss for awhile now. Sorry to all my friends for that! Finally starting to get the hang of working AND taking care of things at home. The transition has not been an easy one for me but I may finally be on the downside of that hill :) Hopefully it will only get better

We are getting ready for a trip to Hawaii....never been and never thought I would ever go! My parents are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and decided that was where they wanted to visit and offered to take us along. So, here we go. I hate (desperately) to fly so I wonder how six hours on a plane will be??? Thinking maybe I should take a pill and they can wake me up when we get there. Oh well, looking forward to a warm, balmy breeze to perk up my spirits! I'll let you know how it goes.

Married for 29 years, two fabulous daughters, two fun son-in-laws, one Marine son, three hilarious grandsons and three beautiful granddaughters. I was a domestic engineer (stay-at-home mom) for 27 years, during which I did in-home child care and made the choice to homeschool my kids. They went K through 12 with me, or I should say, I went with them, as they always kept me on my toes. Between learning to read to writing research papers and some sports involvement, we all learned a lot about each other, for which I am grateful! Actually, they still speak to me, so I guess it worked out well :) After that I began work from home doing Medical Transcriptioning for a few years and now I am employed full-time, working for my husband as his office assistant, which is interesting and I am just now beginning to get used to it!

It's been a looong time since I have updated, huh? Hard to believe but my son will graduate this Friday, February 27th from his school. His assignment is to the 2nd Combat Engineering Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, which basically means he will stay at Camp LeJeune. Silly guy didn't want to go to OKANAWA??? Personally I think that he wants to stick close to home until deployment, which may come sooner than he thinks.

Cold weather!
Not having a cat or dog around the house. We have had a cat and two dogs in the house at once, along with the three kids, and all have passed on now. And, the kids are gone....so it is way too quiet! My husband doesn't think so, thus, no animals.

We are finished with the remodeling projects!! Yea !! The six grandkids all come over now and they have a new "playroom" where all of their toys are stashed and they have their own TV so they can watch movies! They help pick it up when they are done playing now :), probably because they are getting older and are proud to have something of their own. They still wear me out sometimes, but you gotta love 'em. The oldest is five and the youngest two are now a year old. It is fun watching their personalities grow as they become "little people". They all live in the same town as we do, so we are truly blessed to be able to spend time with them..

When I have the time I like to play with genealogy.

I have decided that I need a new hobby, so I am learning to try digital scrapbooking. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know!
