My favorite movies are musicals, romance and comedy. I don't care for horror or violent films. |
Oldies 50's and 60's. Jazz, Light Classical, Easy Listening, and Praise and Worship.

I love reading especially during the fall and winter. There is nothing better than curling up by a nice fire with a good book.
I have found a couple of new authors (to me) this summer, Pat Conroy and Mary Alice Monroe. Have really enjoyed my summer reading and am collecting some books to take me into fall. |

I love good old fashioned recipes, the ones I grew up with and the ones you find at church potlucks and summer picnics. They just can't be beat.

I love this time of year. After a busy summer it is nice to relax a little. I enjoy all of the wonderful colors on the trees and the air is so crisp and cool. I am just starting some fall decorating, just little things to "cozy" things a bit. I enjoy being in more and am looking forward to cooking some comfort foods. We love homemade soups and I rarely make them in the summer. Hope you are all enjoying this time of year also. Take some time to enjoy the beauty around us if you can.

My husband and I have been married for 45 years. We have one daughter and one son. We are also blessed with a wonderful son-in-law and daughter-in-law. We have four wonderful grandchildren who are the joy of our life.
My husband and I retired after 20 years in the Army in 1981. During those years we lived in New Jersey, Washington, Oregon and in Germany. My husband also had tours in Korea, Viet Nam and Hawaii (Hawaii was before we were married....darn, I would have liked that tour....lol). After retiring from the Army, we lived and worked in several places in Washington and Oregon and we have finally settled in Oregon...at least for the time being...you never know...after being in the service, you think it is "normal" to move every two or three years.
