I enjoy doing genealogy, and working on my family tree. I've researched my family, back to the year 1150, when the man had only one name. When his son was born, he gave him a last name, of the town that they lived in. That's how my last name got started. I have gone as far as I can go, with that, so, I have started doing my husband's family tree. He is Italian, and it is much harder to find Italian information.
