A DOG'S PLEA
Treat me kindly, my beloved friend, for no heart in all the world is more grateful for the kindness than the loving heart of mine.
Do not break my spirit with a stick, for though I should lick your hand between blows, your patience and understanding will more quickly teach me the things you would have me learn.
Speak to me often, for your vioice is the world's sweetest music, as you m...ust know by the fierce wagging of my tail when your footsteps fall upon my waiting ears.
Please take me inside when it is cold and wet, for I am a domestic animal, no longer accustomed to bitter elements. I ask no greater glory than the privilege of sitting at your feet beside the hearth.
Keep my pan filled with fresh water, for I cannot tell you when I suffer thirst.
Feed me clean food that I may stay well, to romp and play and do yor bidding, to walk by your side, and stand ready, willing and able to protect you with my life, should your life by in danger.
And my friend, when I am very old, and I no longer enjoy good health, hearing, and sight, do not make heroic efforts to keep me going. I am not having an fun. Please see that my trusing life is taken gently. I sheall leave this earth knowing with the last breath I draw that my fate was always in your hands.

I am an American,born in Detroit, Michigan. I moved to Canada in 1975. I have 2 daughters,DeAnn 42 and Dawn 36yrs old. DeAnn has 4 children, 3 girls 18,16,& 10 and a boy 8 yrs old.Dawn has two sons, Aiden 9yrs old and Alex was born June 27th 2010.I've been married to a wonderful man,nearly 14 yrs my junior for 18 yrs. I have a stepdaughter, Crystal 26 and a stepson Joseph 28 who has a 7yr old daughter.I have a Cocker Spaniel,Zoey 6 1/2 yrs old. We had to put Chelsea down 12/14/11, she was 14 & 1/2 yrs old.
I lost my brother in the Viet Nam war in 1967. My father passed away in Feb '96, and my mother in Jan.'98. I do have a stepmother, 88yrs old, who is wonderful and I love her dearly. She is still on the go constantly.She line dances, sings at "open mike" and participate in parades. I try to get up to see her as often as possible. She lives in Northern Michigan about 4 & 1/2 hrs away by car.
I've worked at a dry cleaners,a hospital supply warehouse,a toll booth in the truck lane at the Canada/US border.I have driven a school bus on/off since 1979. I have been on disability since 12/2010.Had a knee replacement that is faulty.It has to be fixed or replaced. We're expecting a great grandson in June.Daughter, Dawn is getting married Sept 15, 2012.
