I enjoy musicals and comedies, also some mystery stories. I particularly like My Fair Lady, Driving Miss Daisy, Pride and Prejudice. We do get movies from Netflix and really enjoyed a couple of family movies lately. One was called "UP". Fun movie.
This picture was sent to me by Elaine. She tells me it is located on the very northernmost tip of the North Island of New Zealand. Unfortunately I don't think I will ever be able to visit it.

I read Living Among the Lutherans recently. It is written by Garrison Keillor. If you are familiar with his stories about Lake Wobegan you will probably enjoy this one. It is one of his better tales. It is a funny story and not made to be taken seriously but if you are a Lutheran you will feel quite at home I think.
I am a regular fan of the local library. I like to read. I could never afford to buy all these books they are so expensive these days. I like a lot of the Debbie Macomber books. I like mysteries too especially ones by Anne Perry about Victorian England and Dick Francis, who wrote mysteries about horse racing.I also enjoy some of the classics by Charles Dickens, Agatha Christie and O. Henry. A great favorite is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
The Bible is always a good read but some parts I do not care for. At the moment we are studying Ruth. It is an interesting part of Scripture.

This lighthouse is called Heceta Head and we visited it a number of years ago. It is on HWY101 north of Florence in Oregon, USA.

This lighthouse is near my old hometown in Lincolnshire, UK. We rode our bikes down to see it in the Summertime when I was a kid.
I really like ice cream and chocolate but I try to not indulge too often. I know it isn't good for me. If I get invited out for a meal with friends I think that is great. I do believe all my friend’s and relatives are great cooks. If I did n’t have to cook it myself that’s wonderful. I enjoy seafood, salmon, shrimp and crab. I also love Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding. I like Italian food, Spaghetti, and Lasagna and also like Chinese and Thai. I have eaten Indian cuisine but it tends to be a bit too spicy for me.

I hope you will enjoy my new Lighthouse Page. I have tried to put a little information about some of the lighthouses with the photos. I don't remember where I got all of them though.

Please sign my Guest Book while you are here. I do enjoy seeing the new friends.

I was born on the East Coast of England near "The Wash", at a very early age. I also have a sense of humor. I have been in the United States since 1963 but still have some of my English accent left so I am told. My husband, Bruce and I will be celebrating our 50th Anniversary in September. I don't know where the time has gone. I have 2 sons, neither are married at the moment but no grandchildren. I have been a Christian all my life and my husband and I have been going to the Lutheran Church here for over 40 years.

This Lighthouse was on the shore of Clallam Bay in the Strait of Juan de Fuca which lies between Vancouver Island, Canada and Washington State, U.S. It was replaced many years ago by a Beacon and the old building removed.

Sunny days and blue skies. I like spending time on my computer and learning new things. I like it when I feel good in the morning. Happy faces.

This is the West Point lighthouse. Since the lighthouse started operation on November 15, 1881, it has guided countless vessels into Seattle's Elliot Bay, located just south of the Point. When the Lake Washington Ship Canal was completed just north of West Point in 1917, the lighthouse also served as a marker to the entrance of this liquid link between Puget Sound and Lake Union and Lake Washington.
Computer stuff. I have learned so much from the friends here at NOTH.
Photography. Now I have a digital camera I take a lot more photos.
I like to read, especially during the long winter evenings.
I like to do Jigsaws nothing to difficult, 1000 pieces and under. I don't have room for bigger puzzles.
Cape Disappointment is on the north entrance to the Columbia River. A cape on the mouth's north side marks the entrance to the river. Named "Kah'eese" by the local Indians, it received its current name from Captain John Meares. On July 6, 1788, Meares sought shelter from a turbulent sea but to no avail. He named the cape, "Cape Disappointment."
I like to knit, I began when I was about 5 years oldI haven't done much lately as I now have arthritis in my hands and it gets too painful. I have a big stamp collection that I haven't worked on in years. I need to start sticking in the stamps I have collected over the last few years.
I like to work in my flower beds.I enjoy visiting friends.
