I became interested in Africa through writing to

these children had nothing, but the difference an organization like World Vision can make is nothing short of a miracle,
but it is only through OUR HELP that these children, and adults, can be educated thus giving them a chance at having a future.

~ Dancing ~


I enjoy dancing which is good because I go to the same old folks home, ~ where I do the books, ~ every week, where they have live music, there I dance for and with the residents who can.
They really enjoy watching 'The Twist' from the 60's ~ which I put everything into to give them a good show.
Three days later when I can walk again, I wonder why on earth I am still doing it. !!?? :)
But as long as the music plays, so will I.:)

           


I like a good mystery book but without the gory graphic descriptions that some have. It must hold my interest and not be one that has so many characters and is so confusing I give up on it.





My reading has put me in a good place to be able to help with books in an old folks home where I volunteer to do their library each week.

New Zealand time is now...

I value all of my friends but at times I cannot keep in touch as much as I would like because of illness. I hope you will understand this and I will email as much as I am able.

I was born and lived in New Zealand until 1966 when I was taken to Northern Ireland, during that time I spent 7years living in England, I returned to New Zealand in 1985 and have no desire to live anywhere else.
New Zealand was once called God's Own - Paradise - a safe country and a beautiful one, and though we still have some of the most wonderful scenery in the world - the world moved into New Zealand and it was Paradise no more.
I live in a very flat city which is wonderful for walking, we are surrounded by the Canterbury Plains - mainly farming land.
Wherever you are in my city it is just a short drive to the countryside where in winter we see lovely sights like this one.





But at times need to be patient as we can encounter traffic jams!





We are a very multicultured society now, we have our own indigenous people - The Maori.
I have many pictures on my slideshow of New Zealand and it's scenery, birds, traditional Maori and more, I hope you will enjoy watching this and learning more about my country.

We also have many people from the Islands like Tonga & Samoa, Fiji etc, also many Asian students come here to study at our main Universities and many come also to live. We also have our quota of refugees, so we are very multi cultural now and like other countries it is beginning to cause problems.
I can only pray that it will not get out of hand.

I don't like having so many things wrong with me and finding each day such a struggle to get through ~


I don't like it that my sons died before me...


I don't like theme days, especially halloween, chain letters, emails full of other peoples' addresses - a spammers delight, arrogance and seeing so much anger in the world today.


I don't like having to watch mankind destroy this beautiful world ~ we were given to look after,- and all for the sake of greed.
I dislike rascism because someone has a different skin pigmentation from our own.
But most of all I hate mankinds inhumanity to mankind, that is something I will never understand.
