It's much cooler out there this morning...74! While Papa was trimming someone's shrubs I vacuumed out the bed of the truck. I don't like nasty stuff all over the bottom of our grocery bags and dragging it into the house.

It wasn't as bad as I though it would be. I got up in there okay, I just had to roll over on my side to get out! We do a lot of yard work for people and it can get pretty dirty; not everything can go into a bag.

We hope you're enjoying your day and may even feel a bit ambitious, too. Take care and have fun with whatever your day brings you.

Very hot here today; expected heat index of 105! This is so unusual; haven't any idea how much longer it will last, either. And it's supposed to rain again tonight! We should have kept track of how much rain we've gotten this month. It's certainly been more than last month and that was 12.5"! Wettest year I can remember and our 95 year old neighbor just said the same thing.

 

Papa is out starting to mow his second yard today. He usually does it on Wednesdays but the grass is sooo high from all the moisture and another rain on it tonight will make it worse.

 

I need to drive to the store shortly to pick up a few things for weight-loss program and a few things for Papa. He's going to need some Bud when he gets finished!
