My favorite movie of all time has to be Gone With the Wind ... but there are many, many more that I could watch over and over.

I read ALL the time and love my Kindle. Some of my favorite authors are James Lee Burke, Ken Follett, Janet Evanovich, Phillipa Gregory, Diane Chamberlain, etc., etc., etc.

My favorite colors are the wonderful colors of Spring and Fall.

Home cooked comfort food -- chicken and dumplings, meatloaf and mashed potatoes, New England Boiled Dinner, etc.

Hubby and I met when we were both serving with the US Navy in Bainbridge, MD in February of 1968. I was a tender 18 years old and he was the older man at 21. We both received orders to Pearl Harbor and that's where we were married in September of 1968.
We have two daughters and three grandboys. Kim and Tanner live about 40 minutes from us in Conroe and Janna, Mike, Austin and David live in the Dallas area. The grandboys are 17, 15 and 4 respectively. Pictures of our family are in my Gallery.
My husband had prostate cancer two years ago and unfortunately, it returned. He went through 39 radiation treatments and three months of hormone therapy, and now his PSA is back down to 0.002. Yay!!!
We have a three year old Lhasa Apso that we adopted from the Lone Star Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso Rescue Group. He came to us with the name Cameron so we kept it. He was abandoned, or abused - we don't know for sure, but he was extremely fearful of everything and everyone. He is slowly but surely coming out of his shell and is a really nice boy! We're glad we adopted him. We also adopted a two year old Lhasa Poo from the same organization. Her name is Callie and she is a WILD CHILD!! LOL. Cameron and Callie are best buddies and have certainly become our babies.
I am employed as the Attendance Clerk at an after school facility near our home. (I walk to work.) It's a fun - and very different - position for me. I had worked in the office field for many years ... office manager, administrative assistant, secretary, receptionist, etc. You name it and I did it, but when we moved to the Houston area in 2001 I decided I'd had enough. So, now I work with 70 kindergarten - 5th grade kids every day. It's a hoot and I love it. Have been there six years and have no plans to leave.
