Used to like movies back in the 40's,50's and 60's when they entertained, but not now - we have enough of "Real Life" in real life!

Light classics, choral music, light operettas (eg. Gilbert and Sullivan) regimental band music, pipe bands,

Adventure books, family sagas, nothing too deep as my time for reading is just before I turn out the light.

I could live on shellfish. Love lobster, crab and prawns, and also sole and trout. However, the shellfish here is not like what we used to have in Australia.

Born in England of Australian parents,father in Royal Air Force went overseas during the war so he sent my mother and siblings to family in Australia from 1940 to 1948. Back to England, then I worked as a governess to an RAF officer's children in Iraq. Back to England where I joined the Women's Royal Air Force as a Codes and Cyphers officer, posted to Egypt where I met my husband. Married in England and then we left almost straight after for Canada. Lived in Quebec for 35 years and when my husband retired we came to live in British Columbia, on the West Coast. We would not move from here for anything.

Reading,typing,trying new recipes.
