Just had a "normal" mamogram, and pulmonary function test. I'm so happy to be almost out of the woods with this!!

Ladies, be sure and do your self exams...that's what saved my life....

I was diagnosed last June with breast cancer. After chemo, and radiation, the prognosis looks good.

I'm a retired Statie, having worked for the Secretary of State's Office. Loved my job and the people I worked with!

My STAR is my husband, who has been with me every step of the way during chemo, radiation, and the following treatments... without him, it would have been a horrendous journey alone... thank God he was with me!!

Favorite saying: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO, What a Ride!"
