I don't go to the movies often but I do enjoy a good mystery.

Like to be entertained with a good comedy

Love the old English comedy shows

I love Andre Rieu music
Welsh chiors
Though I am not religious love hymn singing
Some country music

Mostly like music that can be background stuff not into loud duff duff stuff can't make any tune out of that so called music hurts the old ears.

Travel books

True stories

murder mysteries

Classics like Charles Dickens & such

Have to admit don't read half as much as I used to

If I had to choose just one I would be at a loss.
I don't have one favourite colour, love most of them but tend to buy less green things on the whole.

Love
Sea food & pasta dishes.Apart from lamb don't eat much red meat at all,I do like chicken and most vegetables can't eat the dark green ones though.

I am one of those people who can eat all things without the weight gain so I usually see food & eat it.
Everything but Pork and offal
.
Love deserts of all kinds especialy Pavlova you guessed it I have a sweet tooth as well

Emlu
My better half who has also joined the Hill people
For he knows where I am most of the time any way

Hi
I am slowly finding out how to do things like making my page on the Hill.
Havent found out how to get the real interesting things onto my page yet but will get there.
I am enjoying going through all the things here and finding my way to sites, only moving at snail pace after all I am a novice at all this.
My Hubby is just starting to do his page so I will watch him as he knows more than I about computers.

Though I was born & brought up in the north of England.
Born the youngest of the bunch of six children Things were in short supply and tough back then during WW2 we were never short of love and a good family life food never got wasted back then as it was in short supply.
I first met the boy I was later to marry on my very first day of school at the tender age of four.
Yes they got us off to school early in those days complete with a gas mask with a flappy tongue that scared the life out of me the first time I saw it,and we had to learn just were the air raid shelters were situated just in case we needed one on our way to & from school.Living close to Liverpool we spent most nights in the air raid shelters.
This boy was the class milk monitor, and I took an instant dislike to him.Because it was winter the bottles of milk were warmed up on the class radiator. I disliked warm milk so I blamed him for this.I also couldn't remember his name.this being a Welsh one. Who would have believed I would have married him at age twenty one.
Now he is my best friend and soul mate and I think his name is very unusual
Thanks to him becoming a Marine engineeer in the British Merchant navy after ten years of waiting & hearing all about exotic places he was going to.I got the chance to spend the next nine years sailing with him all over the world.Something I loved doing and for this I am eternally grateful.
Our marriage has just passed the fifty year mark. Wow half a century and I wouldn't change places with anyone. We have gone through the fifty years with just the two of us.
Since 1975 we have called Australia home, can't imagine living anywhere else we love our adopted country and became Australian citizens as soon as we could.
Have lived in some way out places here in Aus, the outback,on a small Island way up north of the state, also for a time we lived in Tasmania a beautiful place, also in the mountains of Papua New Guinea. Now that was a real eye opener as when we got there the people had only had contact with the outside world for around fifteen years.
I really enjoyed my time there going out to the villages with the teaching nuns that were there to set up schools.First to teach the nationals Pigin & then English.
Once I get my page in better shape I will put on photos of life in PNG.
Once we retired we built a home in Mandurah WA but after ten years there and because of health reasons we moved closer to the city.
Today has been a revamp of my life the short version.

I love to wake up to our beautiful Ausie weather Well waking up is bonus enough really.
I enjoy meeting up with friends going shopping with them Who says one has to buy I love to just window shop most of the time.I enjoy driving.
Love my new laptop and Enjoy being able to email instantly with my family over seas, and text messages to them, love life in general.Enjoying myself here on the Hill.

Injustice,
Greed
Malicious gossip
Riligious fanatics
I don't try to convert people to my beliefs so don't like others trying to convert me in any way.

Sewing
Various crafts paper tole folk art quilting to name a few of the things I have tried.

Genelogy trying to find my illusive ancestors
and getting side tracked now & then when I find someone with my family name was a convict sent down under from England. All very interesting

My new Laptop still finding my way around it.OH and my now new hobby the HILL
