Comedies, dramas, some adventures depending on what it is. I don't like spy movies, war or horror flicks.
MUSIC
I LOVE music! I enjoy most genres but I particularly like Bluegrass, the Blues, 70's rock, and Indie/Acoustic/Folk.
I love to sing. At one time I sang with a trio. Now I generally sing with family & friends and I love karaoke.
My husband plays mandolin and guitar so he plays a lot of bluegrass. His family is very music oriented.
BOOKS
The Bible
Mostly non-fiction and biographies
I enjoy magazines
Neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor had an opportunity few brain scientists would wish for: One morning, she realized she was having a massive stroke. As it happened -- as she felt her brain functions slip away one by one, speech, movement, understanding -- she studied and remembered every moment. This is a powerful story of recovery and awareness -- of how our brains define us and connect us to the world and to one another.
Jill lives in Bloomington, Indiana and one Sunday afternoon in the summer of 2007, I had the opportunity to meet Jill and hang out with her. I was invited to sit in on the launch of a community based project called the, "Bloomington Cancer Research Consortium." At the time my friends' father had cancer and we were invited to help with basic research because of our library experience. The group that attended came from all professions. Jill was just very cool. You could tell she wanted to be there to help people. She was very caring and compassionate. By just casually talking to her you wouldn't expect her to be a brain scientist. We talked about music and the "Love" quilt she had made for the project. She made an impression on me. When I saw that she had made TIME magazines list of the World's 100 most influential people I was happy for her and I'm glad that I had the privilege of meeting her.

I'm a 46 year old female. I'm an only child but have lots of friends that are like sisters and brothers to me. My dad is still living and turned 85 this summer.
I live in the midwest in a small town. I've worked for 8 years at the local library.
My husband and I have been married for 25 years. We don't have any children but have tons of nieces and nephews, a bunny named Marley and a Schnauzer named Dawson.
Any questions?
