Just watched (for 2nd time) City of Angels with Nicholas Cage and Meg Ryan -- really good, but sad at the end.
Freedom Writers, Lake House; liked Die-Hard series, The Bucket List and The Proposal.

I like easy-listening music, oldies of the late 50s and early 60s, and I love Andrea Bocelli. Even took my favorite Bocelli CD to my car and play it anytime I'm in my car now. Can't get enough of it.

Am now reading Nicholas Spark's "Last Letter". My granddaughter loaned it to me. I'd tried one of his books earlier and couldn't get into it so wasn't expecting much. Started it this afternoon and read over 100 pages so far. Yep, it's good. Wound up finishing in 3 days.
Also just finished TAKE THREE of Karen Kingsbury's "Top of the Line" series. Really a great author of Christian fiction; stories so realistic and God-inspired and guided.

Fried oysters, shrimp, stir fried veggies and Chinese/Japanese food (tho not too keen on sushi).
We have a new seafood restaurant here, "Clearwaters Seafood Bistro". Good food.
So now have top notch Japanese hibachi and seafood restaurants. If we'd get an Olive Garden, we'd have it all. (Even have an Outback!!)

Well, wound up having to cancel the Women of Joy Conference. For the last month I've battled back and leg pain; info online seems to point to sciatica. I knew I'd never make the long trip much sitting still during presentations. Still had to pay but know I was right to cancel.

Easy to get along with, good-natured, rather laugh than cry, fun-loving, out-going, strike up a conversation with another shopper in a store aisle. Am tender-hearted and a defender of the underdog, passionately patriotic. I like putting a bit of sunshine in someone's life, a smile on their face.

Have a great desire to travel but cannot bring myself to do so alone. Working on it...
In the meantime I help plan day trips and outings for the senior adults at church.

Relationships with family & friends,. Lots of laughter, good conversation, getting to know people. Travel, dining out, any sport that my grandchildren are in. I enjoy small get-togethers and helping folks older than me (yep there are a few). My relationship with my God is ever-growing.
I value honesty & integrity.

I'm loving spending time with the triplets; they are great fun and personalities are shining through. They grow so fast!!!

Negativity, pushy people, arrogance, foul language. Don't ask me about politicians. Don't like what liberal thinkers and movers are doing to this country.

In music, I don't care for hard rock, screeching guitars, and most rap.

Numismatics, reading, reconnecting with 'old' friends via computer. Do taxes for friends.

Yesterday was an eventful day. I went to the doctors first. My blood pressure was good again at 120/78. It was 118/78 last time. My sugar was good as well as my cholesterol. I don't have to go back until late October.  After the doctors visit, I reserved a car at Enterprise for the upcoming weekend. I'll be going to my daughter Jennie's Luau in Dublin, Ohio.  That is about 3 1/2 to 4 hrs. from here. I just might continue on North after the party on Saturday, to visit my sister Dolores in Cleveland. I don't have to return the car until Monday morning.  I'll see how tired I am and decide at that point.Went food shopping at WalMart after that. I made sure I had my large cooler with me this time. I put all the frozen food in the cooler so nothing will start to thaw out on the 32 mile trip home. I barely got all the frozen food in the cooler. I bought more than I thought. It was a tight squeeze, but everything fit. I was soaking wet by the time I returned back at my apartment.  I stayed in all day due to the high heat and humidity. My power went off three short times. I must get me one of those back-up battery power supplies for instances like this. I pray you are well. Thanks for your friendship.

I lost 8 different graphics from my profile page with the demise of Kathie's Comments.  I have since replaced one of them thanks to poopsielapoo. She had one of the Elvis pictures I had on my site originally. My original was a gif and this ones a jpg, but at least I got that one back. I have added other graphics to replace some of those that are gone. If you'd like to see the different ones I put in, just check out my site and scroll through all the way down...on both sides. I sure hope Kathie's Comments comes back on line, as she had some great graphics. Peace. love, health and happiness....Joseph

Didn't do too much yesterday. On the way back home early in the morning from Rite-Aid, I thought I'd try the new breakfast menu at Subway. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and a large coffee for $2.50. The coffee was great, but they warmed the sandwich up in the microwave (I think) as it was downright soggy. The bun was like rubber. The egg and cheese and bacon inside were all good, but it got ruined by the bun. I'll be seeing the owner tomorrow and let her know how bad it was. Maybe it was a fluke as the 2 girls at the counter were new, and didn't seem to know what they were doing. Oh well, at least the coffee was great. Try to stay cool. That should cover it.  Have a great day......Joseph

Looks like another hot day near 90 or higher. The high yesterday was expected to be only 85 F, with a chance of thunderstorms. It made it to 90 though and very humid, but no rain. I drove about 35 miles (one way) to a town to the northwest of here to take a resident to a blood specialist. Her white blood cells are not what they should be. She's due for a knee replacement, but her doctor won't operate until she's in better physical condition. She's had multiple infections and other problems before, but they have all been cleared up. Now the white cell problem crops up. She's near 80, so I guess anything can be expected. I roasted  both going and coming back. I was so happy to get back to my cool apt. Hope your day goes well and your weather is decent.......Joseph
