Depends on my mood.

Eclectic, but the classics and the standards mostly. My all-time favorite song is a toss up between "The Coming of the Snow" by Rod McDonald and "Theme from a Summer Place." My new favorite is the Robert Plant/Alison Krauss "Killing the Blues." Makes me cry each time I hear it.

Again, a bit of everything, but I enjoy biographies and historical books.

Whatever the year is! My sister and I give each year a color, using the theory that if you call a year by a color, not a number, you will better recall what you did in that year. You might not recall that 2002 was the year you went skiing in Vermont, but you will always recall it was the GREEN year. Paris was the BLACK year, and so it goes.

2008 is the RED year.

Depends on the season and my mood, but Hummingbird cake is a top fave any old time!

I am a freelance journalist, writing mainly for three area daily newspapers. I am in the middle of a book on local history as well.

I am married with two daughters and three grandchildren.

I spend a lot of time on computers--even doing IT work for others.

Church is important to me.

Soft snowfalls and thunderstorms
The smell of wood fires and mountains
Spending time watching the world go by

Keeping Journals on everything!
The crunch of autumn leaves underfoot
The sound of a crow across a quiet day
Noticing he tiny miracles my God performs for me each day

People who are always late. I see it as the ultimate form of rudeness, implying their time is more important than yours--you can wait.

Injustices and unfairness

People who talk over the top of you

People who are too busy to notice life around them and just take everything for granted.
