“Truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget.”

“Home is a place you grow up wanting to leave, and grow old wanting to get back to”

~ John Ed Pearce ~

Go, sit upon the lofty hill,

And turn your eyes around,

Where waving woods and waters wild

Do hymn an autumn sound.

The summer sun is faint on them

The summer flowers depart

Sit still -- as all transform'd to stone,

Except your musing heart.

~Elizabeth Barrett Browning~

A fallen leaf is nothing more

than a summers wave good bye

Pumpkins in the cornfields

Gold among the brown

Leaves of rust and scarlet

Trembling slowly down

Birds that travel southward

Lovely time to play

Nothing is as pleasant

As an autumn day!

“Summer ends, and Autumn comes, and he who would have it otherwise would have high tide always and a full moon every night”

~ Hal Borland ~

Sing a song of seasons!

Something bright in all!

Flowers in the summer,

Fires in the fall!

"Even if something is left undone, everyone must take time to sit still and watch the leaves turn."

~ Elizabeth Lawrence ~

“The home should be the treasure chest of living.”

~ Le Corbusier ~

"I've never met a pumpkin I didn't like"

"There is no season when such pleasant and sunny spots may be lighted on, and produce so pleasant an effect on
the feelings, as now"

~ Nathaniel Hawthorne~

"October's the month

When the smallest breeze

Gives us a shower

Of autumn leaves.

Bonfires and pumpkins,

Leaves sailing down -

October is red

And golden and brown."

Don't waste a minute not being happy. If one window closes, run to the next window- or break down a door.

~Brooke Shields ~

Nature holds the key to our aesthetic, intellectual,
cognitive, and even spiritual satisfaction.

~ Edward O. Wilson ~

The poetry of the earth is never dead.
~John Keats~

Nature fills me with beauty, peace, solace, and celebration.

"Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves."

~John Muir~

“the year's last, loveliest smile.”

~ William C. Bryant ~

"To find the universal elements enough; to find the air and water exhilarating; to be refreshed by a morning walk or a evening saunter ... to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a birds nest or a wildflower in spring - these are some of the rewards of the simple life."

~ John Burroughs ~

Come and hear the tambourine

Come and join the dance!

Spinning silks in shades of light

Velvet dark as shadowed night.

Gold and silver buy your future

Pasteboard cards with faded ink.

Caravans by campfire glow

Keeping secrets gypsies know

“ Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.

~ Ashley Smith ~

I would whisper love so loudly

Every heart could understand

That love and only love

Can join the tribes of man

I would give my heart's desire

So that you might see

The first step is to realize

That it all begins with you and me

"Yellow mellow, ripened days... Beauteous, golden Autumn days."

~ Will Carleton ~

No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace

as I have seen in one autumnal face

~ John Donne ~

The golden moments in the stream of life rush past us and we see nothing but sand; the angels come to visit us, and we only know them when they are gone.

~George Elliot~

Autumn is a time of harvest

Reflection

Release

Rest

Anticipation.
