I'm 67 years of age and a retired ex-serviceman. I spent 20 years in the Australian Defence Force (Army), retiring with the Rank of Warrant Officer Class Two (WO2). After leaving the ADF I worked in various other professions such as Sheriffs Officer for the Courts Administration Authority, (South Australia), and as a Bus Operator and Heavy Vehicle Driver Training Instructor with Serco Adelaide Buses.

I have been married for 45 years, and my wife and I have three married children who have given us nine wonderful Grandchildren who range in ages from 5 years to 20 years.

I am a keen (but not very good) Golfer and I like to grab the opportunity to get out on the course when I can.

I love spending quality time with my grandchildren.

I like to watch all kinds of Motor Sports and I enjoy watching the AFL (Australian Football League), especially the Geelong Cats.

I like the simplicity and the intricacies found in the beauty of nature.

I admire Honesty and Integrity, and I respect people who display these qualities in the way they live their lives.

AND, I absolutely love the Australian Outback, it's vastness, it's desolation and it's beauty.

I don't like the cold - it messes with my creaky old bones.
