I live near Sacramento, CA. Hubby and I live on 3 acres. We have 2 horses (Chief & Duke), a German Shepard (Gypsy), Boston Terrier (Hemi), 4 indoor kitties (Cinder, Jake, Faith & Perito), 2 outside kitties (King and Tiny), a Cockatiel (Zoe), and 2 wild ducks in our pond.....they don't have names.....lol They have been here for years though. Hubby retired in 2005 and I am so glad to have him home. I didn't get to see much of him when he worked. He was gone about 12-14 hours a day(1 hour commute each way included). He was a tractor/trailer driver for UPS for 32 years!  We have one son, Dakota, he is now 20 years old. He does live close by, but for now we are estranged from our son, “HIS CHOICE.”
I also have an extended family. I'll try to make this long story as short as possible.....but by now you all know that’s pretty hard for me.....LOL When we lived in the Bay Area, a new family moved into the rental house next door to us. They had 2 girls. The girls were latch-key kids and way to young to be in that situation. At the time Angie was in Kindergarten and Jessica was in 3rd grade. We kind of adopted each other! Through the years they have brought me sooooo much joy! They both ended up moving close to us when we
moved away from the Bay Area. Both Jess and Angie are married now and stay at home mom's themselves. I find it kind of funny, cause they used to think it was strange that I didn't work outside of the home like their mom did. Now they understand that if it's at all possible financially to stay at home with your kids, it's such a rewarding experience. Jess has a 8 year old daughter, Karlie and Olivia just turned 1. Angie has a son, Benji (almost 2) and another baby on the way in about 6 months. They are Daughters of my heart, and their kids are like my
Grandkids. John and I both have been very blessed to have them in our lives. For the last several years, I've been pursuing my Photography. What used to be just an enjoyable hobby has become somewhat of a part time job. But I LOVE every minute of it!   |
