Is it because they stretch,   From side to side.  But how far do they stretch,   Then pop us by surprise?  Rubber Bands are good,   To have around.  Sometimes they’re handy,   To holding things down.  Sometimes they’re good,   In keeping things together.  They wrap ‘round the wrist,   Getting tighter and tighter.  Rubber Bands will be around,     For quite awhile.     So we must be patient,      And not consider them vile.   Dianne
