Blog Entry: Christmas & Hanukkah. Hanukkah is starting on 25th of December this year. Absurd! This is coinciding with the NBA v NFL on the same day, which coincidentally is also happening this year. In this case it is the NFL playing the part of the Jews. Christmas is etched in stone on the calendar. Hanukkah is something which moves around. I think 4 times since 1900 or something like that. That was before ESPN. I would suspect it is the gift giving thing but people do not celebrate Hanukkah by giving gifts. Try finding the Temple so there can be a real celebration.
