Now what movies don't I like? I don't know if there are many... I like romances (of course), comedies, action movies, suspense, thrillers (no outright horrors, though). My favourite, I think, is The Notebook, though I've only actually been able to watch it once... I also love fantasy movies, such as Lord Of The Rings, and The Chronicles of Narnia and Spiderwick, etc. I find they're a good way to escape for just a little while...
MUSIC
I love the "golden oldies" from the early '60's onward, you know, the doo-wop and Motown and bubble gum stuff. Don't care much for rap or heavy or "alternative" stuff. I also have a lot of more recent stuff on my computer and MP3 - a real mix! I'll listen to it all!
BOOKS
Reading, for me, is a favourite pastime. However I usually don't find much time to read when I'm at home, as there are usually other things to occupy my time. However I love to read on planes, and sometimes before bed for just a little while...
MY FAVORITE COLOR
I love surrounding myself with the colour any way possible...
My PINK laptop!!
.....and my PINK Blackberry!!
MY FAVORITE FOOD
My favourite foods! Alas, there isn't just one favourite... I guess if I had to choose just one, it would be "everything".
I love all seafoods, especially shellfish; and salads - Greek, Caesar, Cobb, Chef, Nicoise, etc., etc. LOVE steaks (hubby makes me the very BEST filet mignon)!! And chicken and pork and duck and, and...
Did I mention that I
I love nearly all vegetables!
Love, love, love cheese!
Oh, and let's not forget ice cream! (mmmmmm)
Love, love, LOVE chocolate and peanut butter ice cream!!
May 20: Boy, I haven't been on here in ages, and I'm so sorry to my friends who have been stopping by and getting no news from me... I'm still kickin'!
I'm currently in Malaysia!! Yes, I haven't ever been this far from home before... I arrived here on May 15th, and initially we thought this project would be four to six weeks... Naa-aah!! More like four months!! Haven't done any sightseeing yet, as Rick's at work every day (including weekends, at this point). Sounds like we might get over to a mall this Sunday, but I won't hold my breath for it - yet. The temperature is very warm every day, about 30C to 40C (86F to 104F), with very high humidity, though not unbearable, it seems... And nearly every afternoon it rains/pours for a while, then stops again... The country is quite modern, and nearly everyone speaks English, to some degree. The country's religion is officially Islamic, therefore there are no pork products here (except for the very occasional market that caters to ex-pats). This is an exciting new adventure for me! I'll try to keep you posted, as well!
Let me take this opportunity to tell every one of you, my friends, how much I cherish and treasure your friendships!! Thank you!
Wherever we go, I'm always online, and staying in touch.

ABOUT ME
It took a while, but I finally got it right... I remarried for the second time just a few short years ago, in August 2006, to a guy who I absolutely adore, and have felt the same way about since we met in the spring of '98. He truly is the "love of my life", and my best friend, lover, confidante, sun-in-my-sky...
We have five kids, three married, one getting married in 2010, and the youngest not yet in a committed relationship.
I now have six grandchildren, five of which are girls. Our oldest granddaughter is 16, the next is 15, then 11, 7 and 6 months; and our grandson will be 3 in June. How time flies!
Please meet Madelynn Sierra, the newest little addition to our family. She was born on November 4th, weighed 9 lbs 1 oz, and was 21 in. long. Big brother, Ryan, and mommy and daddy are absolutely thrilled that she's finally arrived, safe and sound.
Hubby and I live in a townhouse that we've renovated to suit our lifestyle, and looks somewhat like an Italian villa inside. We got our 'Tuscan' inspiration for our decorating from our vacation in Italy immediately after buying our home.
Neither of us are 'winter' people - we hate the cold, snow, and anything that goes along with anything winter... Therefore, we had been looking for a 'winter' home, someplace warm. We finally found our winter home in Maui this past fall, and now have a cute little condo that we've started to fix up the way we like it. We have no plans to rent it out when we're not there, but when we're 'in residence', we'll welcome family and friends to visit with us, and enjoy a little aloha!
I retired from being an Office Manager/EA with a small company, in early 2007. Hubby and I travel around the world (a lot) for his business as a rep for an aircraft leasing company. He works, I tag along to keep him company, and to keep our marriage strong. My ‘job’ is to spend the money that he earns (kidding!)!
What else would you like to know about me? Just ask, and I can tell ya! Seems I've always got something to say...
Finally reached goal with WeightWatchers - Oct 5/08!

WHAT I LIKE
I like so much of everything! I see the wine glass as "half full".
I love to travel, read, spend time with my family and friends.
I like to walk, I like to laugh and make others laugh, and I like to nap some days...
I like to see new things and new places.
WHAT I DON'T LIKE
is much easier to describe...
I don't like whiners or narrow-minded, critical, judgmental people, pessimists, or complainers who don't do something about what they complain about (some just don't stop complaining about anything).
I don't like road rage, or people with little patience... and I don't like grumps!
HOBBIES
I love to crochet afghans for family and friends... I've recently finished one for the Silent Auction for the Relay for Life in June. My Angel (eldest granddaughter), and my two daughters still each want one... I think I'll be busy with them for some time...
Hey there girlfriend! (in pink just for you!) Just 4 weeks left.... do you have your mask? Got your outfits all picked out? Can't wait to see you! Took my dress in to be shortened.. but first tried on the 1st dress that "he" hated and - wow ! This time it looked great. Weird as last time we didn't like it at all. So now I have 3 dresses to choose from - decisions, decisions! Of course I could be a prima donna and change several times in the course of an evening! LOL Or go formal on Thursday too? Now that would seem weird eh? Put on a crown and make a crowning entrance? LOL
Looking forward to seeing you. I'll be in Rm 126 a lot of the time getting things organized. My room is 4 something??
