Now what movies don't I like? I don't know if there are many... I like romances (of course), comedies, action movies, suspense, thrillers (no outright horrors, though). My favourite, I think, is The Notebook, though I've only actually been able to watch it once... I also love fantasy movies, such as Lord Of The Rings, and The Chronicles of Narnia and Spiderwick, etc. I find they're a good way to escape for just a little while...

I love the "golden oldies" from the early '60's onward, you know, the do-wap and Motown and bubble gum stuff. Don't care much for rap or heavy or "alternative" stuff. I also have a lot of more recent stuff on my computer and MP3 - a real mix! I'll listen to it all!

Reading, for me, is a favourite pastime. However I usually don't find much time to read when I'm at home, as there are usually other things to occupy my time. However I love to read on planes, and sometimes before bed for just a little while...

My reading material is based mostly on historical romance (no, not Harlequin!), though I do enjoy some authors such as Robin Cook and Stephen King, too. I have so many favourite books, but the one that always sticks out in my mind when asked, is The Time Traveler's Wife - it's amazing! You should check it out on Amazon!

Though I don't have a lot of pink in my wardrobe, I love surrounding myself with the colour any way possible...

My favourite foods! Alas, there isn't just one favourite... I guess if I had to choose just one, it would be "everything".



I love all seafoods, especially shellfish, and salads - Greek, Ceasar, Cobb, Chef, Nicoise, etc., etc. LOVE steaks (hubby makes me the very BEST filet mignon)!! And chicken and pork and duck and, and... Did I mention that I

Updates:

December 26: Christmas is over, and we're all very grateful for family and friends!! Santa was particularly good to us - we had many wonderful surprises to open on Christmas Day, and had a wonderful, very filling meal.

Tomorrow we leave for Victoria on Vancouver Island, to visit and to spend the New Year with more family there.

We got a pile of snow so far this winter, and I'm afraid we may see a pile more, as winter's only just begun... My poor hubby has had to dig us out numerous times already, though fortunately we haven't had the misfortune of getting stuck anywhere (touch wood!). The weather is supposed to warm here, beginning tonight, and the snowfall is supposed to change to rain, which will cause all sorts of flooding.

Let me take this opportunity to tell every one of you, my friends, how much I cherish and appreciate your friendship. I wish you all the merriest of Christmases, and all the prosperity and happiness you can imagine for 2009!!

It took a while, but I finally got it right... I remarried for the second time just a couple years ago, in August 2006, to a guy who I absolutely adore, and have felt the same way about since we met in the spring of '98. He truly is the "love of my life", and my best friend, lover, confidante, sun-in-my-sky...

We have five kids, three married, one getting married in 2010, and the youngest not yet in a committed relationship.

I'm a very young Nana. I have five grandchildren, four of which are girls. I married young and had children when I was young. Our oldest granddaughter is 13, the next is 12, then 8 and 4; and our grandson just turned 1 in June.

Hubby and I live in a townhouse that we've renovated to suit our lifestyle, and looks like an Italian villa - we got our Tuscan inspiration for our decorating from our vacation in Italy immediately after buying our home.

I retired from being an Office Manager with a small company, in early 2007. Hubby and I travel around the world for his business as a rep for an airline leasing company. He works, I tag along to keep him company, and to keep our marriage strong. My ‘job’ is to spend the money that he earns (just kidding!)!

is so vast that it's hard to pinpoint. What I don't like is probably easier to sum up. I like so much of everything. I see the wine glass as "half full".


I like to travel, read, spend time with my family and friends.

I like to walk, I like to laugh and make others laugh, I like to sleep...

I like to experience some new things, even though I'm a self-proclaimed "chicken" when it comes to some things.

I don't like narrow-minded, critical, whiney, judgemental people. Nor people who are pessimists. Some people just can't seem to stop complaining about every little thing, and I don't tolerate them well.

I don't like people who are closed-minded, or can't listen to another opinion or point of view with an open mind.

I don't like road rage, or people who drive slower than others in the 'fast' lane just because they're 'doing the speed limit'...

I don't like grumps, and sometimes there seems to be a lot o' them around...

What hobbies do I have... Well, I love to crochet afghans for my grandchildren (I still have to make one for Jolie, then I'm finished for the moment)...




I love to travel, and do that a LOT (I don't really know if that could be classed as a hobby, though).



Reading is a great way for me to relax, and sometimes transport myself to another place and time for a little while...



I love a little amateur photography every now and then - I have thousands of photos of everywhere and everything!



LOVE playin' on my computer (and sometimes I even use it for 'work'...)!



I love entertaining family and friends, or just hanging with them, having a beer, or perhaps something different, and good conversation...
