I like Sci Fi, Fantasy, Mystery, Adventure, and Science books primarily. Some of my favorite authors are Jean Auel, Lois McMaster Bujold, J.R.R. Tolkien, Patrick O'Brian, Terry Pratchett, John D. MacDonald, Elizabeth Peters, H. Rider Haggard, W. E. B. Griffin, and Isaac Asimov. I have recently found Mary Gentle to be a very interesting author. Kim Harrison also.

I guess I'm more partial to Red's, Blue's and Gray's though I really have no problem with any of the others.

Prime Rib, Rib Eye steak, Tenderloin, baked potatoes, corn, asparagus, brussel sprouts, broccoli, salmon, oysters, lobster, crab, wines, and tossed salads. I enjoy Indian, Mediterranean, Arabic,chinese and Japanese foods as well as American, I cook them all also. I also enjoy a small amount of a nice wine to go with the above.

Last Sunday, August 23, 2009 I married a wonderful lady in front of our families. My new step-daughter-in-law officiated. After teh wedding we went to Ella's Deli, had lunch and rode their carousel. An enjoyable time was had by all.

I'm a widower, I have two married son's, not at home.
A grandfather of one granddaughter and three grandsons.
I'm retired from construction, and health care related construction and maintenance management having been in the business for around 40 years. I enjoyed my working life. Lived in Madison most of my life, retired to a country condo some 6 years ago. I took care of my wife after we moved here until she passed away. I enjoy the country and the quietness, miss sharing it with her.

In early January I met a friend, Anne, and we went to the San Francisco area for a visit to her family recently and I came back happily engaged. My lifestyle has changed somewhat, I always have enjoyed cooking, particularly just going wild with experimenting with a variety of foods, herbs and style. My future wife was a chef at an old California Gold Country Hotel at one point and I've been cooking for her and wonder of wonders she apparently enjoys it, (or she's just humoring me). Since January of 2009 to present, late April 2009, between my cooking changing and doing some water aerobics I've lost 30 some pounds.

On August 23, 2009 I took my sweet Anne to be my wife. We were married before our children and my grandchildren at Tenney Park in Madison, we then went to Ella's Deli for lunch and rode their carousel with gleeful abandon after. Then to the facility we live in for cake and Wii. Had a wonderful time. Thanks to Anne's children fr the wonderful broadsword fencing demonstration, my older son's children's karate demonstration and my younger son's children for the frisbee and bubbles show. A special thanks are in order for my new step-daughter-in-law for officiating our wedding.

I'm warm, easy going, loyal honest caring guy that just wants to share my life with a woman who still wants to live life. I want that chemistry with my best friend. I like the oldies and slow dances. I have a good sense of humor and am a romantic type of person, sensitive, and sometimes quite whimsical. I enjoy rummaging around in antique and craft stores, like renaissance faires, museums, laying in the grass watching the clouds, trying to find faces in the clouds. I enjoy chilling out on a nice warm day picnicking either in a meadow, a park, the woods or a beach. I enjoy watching the Madison Mallards play baseball, and travel some of the time to away games. Been known to watch the Timber Rattlers up in Appleton on occasion also. I also enjoy visiting a zoo.

Baseball, computer, reading, enjoying life, walking on a beach, walking in the woods, antique shopping, craft shopping, going to movies, renaissance faires, festivals, traveling, just going for a ride. Sharing a beautiful warm summer evenings sunset and a glass of fine wine with a wonderful woman friend at at a beach or the Sun Set Pier in Key West. An evening beach party around a bonfire.

Tilting Windmills, Tipping Cows and Outhouses, Tractors too. I have an interest in lapidary and have done some works in opal, labradorite, and tiger-eye.
