BLOGS: A blog, simply put, is something you have written, or written about.

We have a forum you can post pictures, recipes or jokes you want to share; these are not considered blogs and will be removed. On the other hand, for example, a recipe with a story about a recipe that has special meaning would be fine. Greetings to others, thank you's, etc. are not considered blogs and will be removed.

Any concerns may be addressed to Admin by using the Contact Us link found at the bottom of each page. Blog Rules can be found in Terms & Conditions link at the bottom of each page.

What About All Those Photos?
Posted On 11/18/2020 23:08:21 by yourchoice

This blog may seem to be a repeat of things that many of us have experienced and thought about, but here I am… writing again now that I have some “extra” time on my hands. We had an experience a couple of days ago that got me thinking about all the “new” stuff we have learned to enjoy during our lifetime… a lifetime that may seem to be very long, but in the whole scheme of things it is less than an instant. I recently wrote about the progress of photographs from hand-tinting stu... Read More

A Quick Reminder
Posted On 04/17/2020 06:08:41 by texasjane
I listen to people on the news being interviewed.  I heard someone ask a religious leader why God would permit this virus.  Then I think back.  God did not put Daniel in the lion's den... man did.  God delivered him out.  Even those who go on in another plane are delivered out.  We are given free will.  The blame game is just another way to frighten people and to create intolerance.  Don't get sucked into it.  We are winning this.  Stay the cours... I’ve often thought I should change it and pick one that sounds less “self-centered”! There is a story about how I picked it in the first place.About thirty-five years ago, when our children left our ‘nest’ and ventured on their own, I was looking for something to help fill my time… being that I had been a full time homemaker, taxi service, and... P - PHOTOS, PICASA, AND POSTCARDS
Posted On 10/26/2017 14:11:39 by yourchoice
I have always had a deep fascination with cameras and photos, now evidensed by the bookshelves and boxes filled with photo albums. My mother had a Kodak box camera when I arrived, but took only pictures that she could afford to have developed. I still remember the film, rolled on a spindle, and carefully mounted in her camera. I believe that there were 12 pictures on a roll, which was then taken to town, to the drug store to be developed. She would carefully preserved each picture in the family... Read More

Family event on Super Bowl Sunday
Posted On 02/03/2015 12:38:32 by yourchoice
Sunday and Super Bowl filled our past weekend. I'm not much of a sports fan, but my husband and son are fans of about any sport. That's why my husband and I both wear headsets and the TV is on mute (in addition to both having hearing problems). He watches sports and I listen to music while I'm on my laptop, and we do a bit of chatting during commercials!!!Because our daughter and family live in the Seattle area, the family supports their football and baseball teams, and when we visit, we often a...
