How Could You?
Posted On 08/21/2008 13:12:13 by Denido
HOW COULD YOU?   A man in Grand Rapids, Michigan incredibly took out a $7000 full page ad in the paper to present the following essay to the people of his community.   HOW COULD YOU? By Jim Willis, 2001 When I was a puppy, I entertained you with my antics and made you laugh. You called me your child, and despite a number of chewed shoes and a couple of murdered throw pillows, I became your best friend. Whenever I was "bad," you'd shake your finger at me and ask "How could you?" --... Read More

The Outermost House

We need another and a wiser and perhaps a more mystical concept of animals.Remote from the universal nature,And living by complicated artifice.Man in civilization surveys the creatureThrough the glass of his knowledge and Sees thereby a feather magnified and the Whole image in distortion. We patronize them for their Incompletemess, for their tragic fate of Having taken form so far below ourselves. And therein we err, and greatly err. For the animal shall not be measuredBy man.In a world older and... Read More

I have been in love with horses since before my earliest childhood memories.... I just found out there is "The Gypsy Horse".... I have always known I was descended from Gypsy's. Never knew how extraordinary and special the "Cobb Horse" truly was....  My grandfather came to Boston, from Germany, with his family when he was 5 years old. He is descended from Hungarian (cauldron stirring, tambourine shaking, palm reading, belly dancing) Caravan Gypsies. The Gypsy (Cobb) horse is like no... Read More

From sadness comes Joy

A year ago I had to make one of the hardest decisions of my life .I had to have my beloved Pekingese "Gizmo" put to sleep. He had a liver disorder. It was a great loss for me.Needless to say I was devastated and very depressed.   My boyfriend insisted that I look for another dog to help fill the void and relieve the lonelyness.I halfheartedly checked the papers. The prices were rediculous! We went to the pound and shelters several times. On one of our trips to the shelter we found... Read More
