BLOGS: A blog, simply put, is something you have written, or written about.

We have a forum you can post pictures, recipes or jokes you want to share; these are not considered blogs and will be removed. On the other hand, for example, a recipe with a story about a recipe that has special meaning would be fine. Greetings to others, thank you's, etc. are not considered blogs and will be removed.

Do companies get a tax break for shipping U.S. jobs overseas?
Posted On 04/05/2014 22:59:32 by geezer
“Firms can generally deduct business expenses,” said Kimberly Clausing, the Thormund A. Miller and Walter Mintz Professor of Economics at Reed College. “Thus, of course, if firms incurred expenses in moving abroad, they would be able to deduct those expenses.”So the answer is yes. My question is - should they? There is only one reason they move abroad, money! They don't seem to care about the many American lives negatively affected. So why should we care enough about them to help de... Read More

Don't talk to me about sewing

If it weren’t for the photos I have of my daughters wearing clothes that I made for them many years ago, I wouldn’t believe that I ever managed to do the family sewing. These days I can’t do anything right with my sewing machine. The problem is that it never was my sewing machine, it belonged to my late husband’s first wife, and she was a professional seamstress. Obama's huge omission
Posted On 09/15/2011 08:50:59 by OLDBRUCE
Hey Obama - here's a fast fix for jobs in America - 7 million EXISTING JOBS - THAT YOU DIDN'T  MENTION IN YOUR JOBS SPEECH - that are now being done by illegals here in this country right NOW.

That's about 5 times as many jobs as he is saying his plan might create - THEY ALREADY EXIST - and no $447 billion pricetag. If BO was really interested in adding jobs for Americans, and half as interested in spending money we don't have, and importing more leeches to suck our social services d... Read More

Well here I am again. I'm soooooooooooooooooo ever sorry ladies and gents. I disappeared from here. Guess I better get that "emergency contact" info in place. Well life threw me a curve ball and I had to stand in faith and face it! Medically I have 2 family members I have to care for now. So that meant changing things around a bit job wise. I also changed other things, which means my time here may be short lived. I'll still visit but not as often as I thought I'd have time for. God has put a cal... Read More
