When I was quite young, my father had one of the first telephones in our neighborhood. I remember well the polished old case fastened to the wall. The shiny receiver hung on the side of the box. I was too little to reach the telephone, but used to listen wit... Read More

Rant Against The Machine
Posted On 09/24/2008 11:50:45 by ingrid
The "machine" being huge retailers such as Amazon.com....if you have ever been run through the mill with them, read on...I listed a small digital camera for sale and included a Flickr jpg link so that buyers might see the item for themselves. Of course that soon became the normal procedure, and eventually even I got used to it, and have been happily ordering cheque books via this method for years. We purchased a telephone called Westminster, that featured 3 instant memory keys plus 10 auto dials that required only 2 presses to get... Read More

We have all had the, probably more than once.  Well, today was one of those days for me.  Now I can sit back and laugh at my day. Today was very interesting.  First thing that happened was that I could not get into my e-mail.  Could not make a call to my provider because my cell phone said "No Service"  That was not good for this is a phone only two days old.  The other quit on me three days ago.  Went to the Cell phone Store and gave them my tale of woe. ...
