BLOGS: A blog, simply put, is something you have written, or written about.

We have a forum you can post pictures, recipes or jokes you want to share; these are not considered blogs and will be removed. On the other hand, for example, a recipe with a story about a recipe that has special meaning would be fine. Greetings to others, thank you's, etc. are not considered blogs and will be removed.

My Pa
Posted On 02/25/2020 09:01:06 by texasjane
My mind has wondered all over today. I spent a lot of it thinking about how lucky I was to have had such loving foster parents.

My sister and I had come from an abusive home to the orphanage. My sister was very, very close to Daddy. The first time they came to the orphanage, my sister bounced into his lap and hugged his neck. I was mesmerized by the beauty... Read More

The Irony of Life
Posted On 07/17/2018 23:37:06 by yourchoice
There are times that a topic for a Blog pops in my mind in the middle of the night when I should be sleeping. That’s what happened a couple of days ago, after a news release in our area, that involved a long time friend of mine. I made my weekly trip to the town closest to us, to deliver a pile of clothes that are much too large for me now, since I changed my eating habits, to the “slightly used” clothing store in town. I also bought groceries because we anticipate some guests later this week. I enjoy the 25 minute drive on the off-freeway road, to view the mountains in the distance, the farmland, and the activity at the small aircraft airport. On this trip, I suddenly realized that I was enjoying material for my ne... Read More

N - New Names for Nations and other things
Posted On 09/12/2015 00:54:35 by yourchoice
There have been a lot of changes in our lifetime. Just think about what has changed since you were in school. Think about the way we cook, the music we listen to, and the way we travel. Then there are the clothes we wear, the communication methods, the entertainment we enjoy, and the games we play. The name given to children in our generation were often duplicated in a family; George, Joseph, Robert, Edward, and Mary, Elizabeth, Barbara, Lydia. Now, there seems to be no end to the created names f... Read More
