JUST SOME TEARS FOR HAPPY
Posted On 02/21/2014 09:19:14 by Notgrnyyet

I used to go to Nursing homes and Senior citizen centers and sing for Birthdays or just any thing they asked me to do. I worked in Nursing Homes for more than 20 yrs. And wanted to do something for those lonely people.
One day I was singing "How Beautiful Heaven must Be" and noticed a little lady with tears just running down her face. This upset me badly. I was going to talk to her before I left but never got the chance.

I wrote this blog sometime back about my cousin. Best friend, sister, confidant, perfectly wound in to her special place in my heart. That place in my heart is now empty for a season but will be filled again with all the beautiful memories that will never leave me. Maple sap collecting never started before the last 2 weeks in March. Over time the W... Read More

  THANK YOU LADY
Now I don't have much money. I eat regularly, have clothes on my back, and a good bed to sleep on. But material things I never had, never needed. So when I walked out of a local store this morning and started to get in my car I spotted a little boy sitting on the curb. He was sweating heavily. It was running down all over his face in black streaks as it rolled over the dirt. He was breathing heavily as if he had been running and mixed in with those dirty tears I could... Read More

Please remember me for who I was

I must warn you that by the time I reached the end, I was crying. Lemon CRABBY OLD MAN

When an old man died in the geriatric ward of a nursing home in North
Platte, Nebraska , it was believed that he had nothing left of any value.
Later, when the nurses were going through his meager possessions, They found this poem. Its quality and content so impressed the staff, that copies were made and distributed to every nurse in the hospital. One nurse took her copy to Missouri .. The old man... Read More
