We have a forum you can post pictures, recipes or jokes you want to share; these are not considered blogs and will be removed. On the other hand, for example, a recipe with a story about a recipe that has special meaning would be fine. Greetings to others, thank you's, etc. are not considered blogs and will be removed.

Celebrating Still Works...
Posted On 11/16/2021 22:41:49 by yourchoice
Our Canadian thanksgiving has come and gone, November has arrived, and we've just experienced our first snowstorm of the season. It has been quite a year, and Christmas is just around the corner. This year, we are being encouraged to shop early because supply may be a challenge. I am so happy that I don't have to go shopping. Years ago, our two adult children suggested that we should find a Christmas project to donate to, because none of us needed anything. We agreed with their request that if w... Read More

What's your favorite?

Well it's very hard to pick just one favorite holiday food but I'd have to say the Dressing...and yes we call it Dressing down here in the South, but whatever you call it, dressing or stuffing, it's so good and most of us ONLY have it at the holidays so I say enjoy! September was m... Read More

A Duck Named Thanksgiving

My uncle was a quiet-spoken man.  He was a wood floor specialist.  He did everything from installing to repairing wood floors.  He was sought after throughout half the state.  He had a crew that did out of town jobs.  He took care of the ones close to home.  He was forever taking barter instead of money for his services.  One spring day he brought home a baby ducklet... is that a word?  Anyway, it was small, yellow and fuzzy.  It quacked a lot. ... Making A Thank You List...
Posted On 10/11/2020 14:29:41 by yourchoice
It is the Canadian thanksgiving Weekend in our area, and we had a delightful early dinner with family to accommodate working hours of family members. I've been reminded of a thanksgiving Challenge that was given to me many years ago. It was the spring of 1975, filled with many happy expectations and unplanned and unpleasant events. My mother succumed to her rapid developing illnes before her 65th birthday, and my husband was hospitalized because of a propane explosion at our new home under... Read More
