Christmas memories

 I awoke this morning and I was thinking of Christmas long ago. when I was a child and even a young adult. what festive time we all shared. My mom and my aunts and grandmother cooked for days to get everything ready by christmas eve. There were each ones favorite cake or pie, I know mom always cooked a fresh ham because it was my favorite meat. Grandma made the best potato pie in the world. It seems that our roly-poly raccoons may be getting ready for winter here in New England.  I fatten them up good and make plans for the sun and swimming of Florida!I do hope they'll be all right and most likely will present us with their furry babies when spring arrives...The cold is getting to my bones already and I'm a life-long New England Gal~ both our daughters are in FL so I'll get to see them more often...That's a true gift.  Christmas together will be nice too as I have a child...
