I want to let everyone know about this GREAT service that EB & TC have put together. I used it last weekend with TC and it was the best money spent on my computer in years.
You don't have to take your computer into a repair shop and leave it for 2-5 days plus pay someone $75 or more to have it fixed.
You are connected with them by a web link and can tell them what is happening and see what they are doing the whole time. You can see what is happening, ask questions while they work, and talk to them about the problems.
Here is how it went; I sent an email to them from the link on the home page; describing what was happening with our computer and what I would like to have checked.
TC sent an email back to set up the appointment day and time. On that day he sent us an email with a link to click on and that connected him to our computer.
He was able to take control of the computer and see what was happening with our Window Media Player (wpm). I sat there and watched him go through the computer files, places I never knew about and could never find again.
He was on our computer for about 3 hrs on Sat. morning and found some programs that we didn't need anymore and stopped others from starting when the computer starts.
He did find out that wmp11 does not work well with windows XP. So he tried another wmp format and when that didn't work. He set another appointment for Sunday and came back on with a new music program call Music Bee. Spent about 1 1/2 hrs with us on Sunday setting that up and showing us how it works.
WOW! is that music program the best! I can now play all our songs with no problems. Will be able to download music again from iTunes and have it playing in no time.
I feel that this was the best money spent on our computer to date and that I can use it again whenever another problem shows up.
I agree with what TC & EB say if you don't have problems now, purchase it and you will have the insurance there when you need it.
Also before starting TC told me that he does his homework and finds out all he can about the computer problems he will be working on with your computer. How many techs do you know that do that before starting to work on computers?
The BEST computer insurance money can buy.
I can't say enough about it or them.
