Spiritual advancement needed in this World
Posted On 05/22/2012 17:04:19 by astrogoodwin

We obvously are not very advanced in this world spiritually at this time.  We have a lot of harsh and abusive conditions exisiting in this world and a lot of serious problems that have not been properly addressed.  Our world has advanced a lot in the area of science and technology recently, but has not advanced that much in the spiritual area.  It is good that science is not distorted and held back by the mythology of the past, like we are in our understanding of the spiritual.  The spiritual and the emotional are pretty much connected.  They both are connected to our heart(our inner being)and affect what we are attracted to or motivated by.

To be good at anything takes proper training and programming.  The same is true in becoming good in the spiritual area.  Spiritual programming tend to be deeply entrenched in ones being emotionally.   That is why it is hard to change/improve.  Like in any field of study, one has to progress in the spiritual area from that which is simple to that which is more complicated and difficult.  Life is complicated and so is the spiritual.

One can not begin to understand the spiritual very well, if one is not that tuned into it psychically.  Meditative/mind body exercises can help one to do this.  Meditation requires that one focuses on ones breathing so that one breathes more than the body normally would based on the state(activity level)it is in.  One can do various body movements(like dance) in rhythm with ones breathing that can help one to get into an a meditative state.  Any exercise done in a meditative state will be slowed down by that state.

One can do a meditative walk by breathing in with one short step and breathing out with the next 2 short steps, so that one breathes in with alternating steps.  It takes focus on ones foot movements and ones arms movements along with ones breathing to get into a deeper and more difficult spiritual/emotional state and thus help one to develop the ability to tune in more strongly and intensely to the spiritual.  It is not easy to tune into the spiritual, and takes tough spiritual/emotional training to do so.  One should try to focus on ones emotions a certain amount of the time when doing a meditative walk, so one can do some good spiritual house cleaning so that one will not have emotions inside of oneself hurt or distort ones spiritual reception.  One will find that it is hard to cope with a really challenging/difficult spiritual/emotional state, if one does not have spiritual beliefs that help one to do so.  So some of the time while doing the meditative walk should be spent thinking deeply about ones spiritual beliefs and figuring out how one can improve them,  so that one will be able to maintain the focus required on the difficult/challenging reality one is in at the moment when doing this exercise.

One can do a meditative running technique using the same technique but with a slow running motion. Revving up the body by doing short repetitive movements of feet/legs and hands/arms when done in rhythm with intense breathing can help one to get into intense spiritual/emotional states.
