There's one unhappy Hawk, in our area, that doesn't like Budweiser! He came flying up toward Papa Allen, on the deck, was about 3 feet from him. The Hawk had his feet down either getting ready to land or snatch something. It must have been to snatch.
Pepper Dog (Chihuahua) was just a few more feet away and the Hawk turned in her direction. Without thinking Papa threw his full can of Bud at it and hit it. It wavered a bit then took off. That's as close as we've come to losing our Baby!
We've never let Pepper Dog stay in the back by herself because we feared a Hawk would get her. pepper likes to stay out and lay in the sun and gets upset with us when we want her to go in with us, when we do. Now, we're glad we've made it a practice.
Then...Brat Cat came in from the garden with a present for us! She was sooo proud. She caught another snake! She's our snake hunter around here. It was a baby one but she's been known to catch the large ones, too. She also like to eat her Crickets and Grasshoppers. Proud girl, she is, when catches those snakes!
