Well, here we are into a new year. Have to remember to change the dates on things. That could be a problem...remembering anything is these days.  I try to tell myself each morning that today is the first day of the rest of my life especially since I have added another year to my age. I don't feel any different though so I guess that's a start. I have put away most of the Christmas things and have sorted out the ones I didn't use and am tossing them out. Also yesterday I did some re-organizing in the cellar. I have put "stuff" into rubbish bags and already it looks half way decent down there. I must find a rubbish man to come and tote them off when I am done. Amazing how many things we accumulate in the course of 85 years which is also amazing that I have been around for as many years. The kids were so good to me over Christmas and my birthday even though I told them not to go overboard as I was trying not to have so much of the "stuff" that I forementioned. Well as they say "out with the old and in with the new"....expect for me that is . Have a truly great 2016. Later, Luv, Alice

Alice, you are a lady after my own heart. "Down-sizing" and getting rid of our so-called 'junque' seems to be a semi-annual occasion at our place. We have been travelling for a few days and when we came home, our Christmas decorations hadn't put themselves back in their storage spot. We don't do much decorating now... we are included in the celebrations at the homes of our two children... one year in the U.S. and the next year in Canada, so what's the point? So I'll be doing as you, Alice, getting rid of more 'stuff' instead of repacking it.

Thanks for sharing, and have a great year, filled with adventure, endurance, and sprinkled with lots of love.

Thank you for the comment. Glad I'm not alone doing the downsizing. It has to be done sooner or later so thought I'd get right to it. I'm now in the process of looking for a Junk Man to come and get the bags I have neatly packed with my "stuff" and must get it out of the way. I am a widow so no hubby to take care of clearing it all away. But It must go and pay I will to get it out . Take Care, Luv, Alice
