Tupperware
Posted On 10/01/2024 14:54:19 by Altara3

Sadly, I read where Tupperware has filed for bankruptcy, Chaper 11 'protection'.  I'll admit  I stopped buying it many years ago & didn't even realize the company was still around.

However, this product lasts forever! I still have 2 Harvest Gold cannisters that I use frequently.  I'm sure they are from the 1980's--maybe even the70's.   And, I have a 'set' of tiny containers; I think they are maybe 2 ounce size. Right now I have 'something' in 3 of them. I may have 1 more 'somewhere'.

I will admit to not liking the 'parties', lol. I preferred to order directly from our local Tupperware person.  But I find it sad; just yet another thing from 'our past' that is disappearing.

There are many Tupperware pieces I've had for years, and still use daily. I've never had anything last as long as T-ware. And if I ran up on a canister or some other neat of their pieces at a yard sale, I'd more than likely come home w/it. Like you, its another of our familiar, old companies biting the dust. Breaks my heart.

I have a few pieces too..have found some on eBay, while the lettuce keeper was a gem given to me by a dear friend and former coworker. My last purchase was a purple tea pitcher (Amazon) Had not heard about the bankruptcy filing 😧

This is sad news. Talk about quality! I still have some containers of Tupperware that I use all the time.
