Thank you to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday - I received so many beautiful messages!
I was having a little pity party because my own family is so dysfunctional - not a word from anyone. And being recently laid off only made a major milestone (50 years old!) seem worse.
But I've read so many profiles on NOTH and realize that I have so much to be thankful for in my life. So many people here have suffered or are still suffering heartbreaking losses and having major health issues or have family members who are going through painful times.
I love this country and my life and I'm glad I found this place. 
So thank you again!
