At 61 I should be looking forward to retirement in the future and enjoying life.  Don't get too comfortable with life.  I've been in the Mortgage Industry for over 20 yrs now and always been able to go from one job to the other because of my experience.  I've been with my present employer for over 10 yrs.  On June 30th we all called into a meeting room and when I saw the people in front I knew we were in trouble.  We were told we were closing in 90 days.  They are moving what we do to Gainesville Ga because it is less expensive to run.  At least it isn't India.  They said there would be positions open if anyone wanted to move.  My hand flew up.  Since then I have a contract for sale on my Townhouse of course at a reduced price and now I will know on Monday if the buyer is approved for the loan.  Then I need my job offer in writing and I am moving.  What a whirlwind in such a short time period.  I feel if she is approved then this is meant to be.  I've gone through a lot of "stuff" at home and downsized to keep from having it moved.

Security really isn't in the picture and all I can pray for is mor etime on the job!  I don't want to retire early but push come to shove I may not have the choice.

I am ready to fast forward into 2009.  2008 has brought me a car accident, my shih tzu being attacked by 2 huge pit bulls and now this.  I canceled a trip in July and now canceled my trip to visit my grandkids in August that broke my heart.  I have airline creidt but who knows if anyone will be able to afford tickets in the future.

Life certainly brings unexpected turns in what you think is a straight path
