Cancer
Posted On 07/21/2008 22:39:16 by Giselleelke

To all my friends on Noth.

I am writing this to let people know they need to be vigilant in their health concerns. About five years ago I went to have a colonoscopy because there was bowel cancer in my family. It was fortunate that I did because although I had no bowel problems they did find that I had a cancerous growth on the external anal area. After extensive chemo and radio therapy I was cleared of the cancer. Now 5 years down the track again I went for a colonoscopy because I was having pain in my left side consistantly and my doctor sent me for a ct scan to see if it was diverticulitis or a bowel problem. During the scan they found I had a 1cm kidney stone in my left kidney and also a tumour around the stone. After having a biopsy of the tumour they found it was cancer. So now the left kidney must be removed, stone and tumour and all. I had the pain for a long period of time thinking it was ovarian pain or something like that. NOW if I had it checked out much sooner I wouldn't have the cancer most likely. What I am saying here is please dont hesitate to have anything checked out even the smallest pain or problem because it could be a matter of life or death. They say you can live with only one kidney but that doesnt make me feel any better because what happens if the other one has a problem to. Oh well one good thing it seems that the cancer is only in the kidney so once it comes out I will be fine..once gain.So please everyone be vigilant with your health.

Hugs all

I'm always thinking about you my sweet.  If only the power of thought could affect material things I would have cured you long ago before you even knew it my love.  Take care I am thinking of you as always... xxx
