I was pretty much glued to the TV all day yesterday. It was a wonderful day. I was so thrilled to see Barack Obama take over the Presidency. I think we are really ready for a new direction and to be an inspiration to the world again. I remember in the 80's Bob Geldof starting Band-Aid to help starving people in Africa which led to Live-Aid and USA for Africa! That really inspired me and made me feel like I could actually make a difference in the world. I think Obama is going to be an inspiration to a lot a people the way Bob Geldof was to me. I love that he wants people to get out and volunteer. I don't agree with this BUY, BUY, BUY way of life we have here now.
I also hope they start regulating the corporations as soon as possible again. Putting regulations back on the food again so we don't have so many cases of food poisoning! I voted for Bush both time and I really regret it now. Especially the last time. The things he did are not the things I voted for. I believe in taking care of the enviroment and did not realize he was going the other way on nearly everything I believed in. I remember thinking at the end of Clinton's presidency that I thought he had messed everything up but I realize now that we were better off then and I hope we get back to that and even better with Barrack Obama. I know he's not perfect and is going to make mistakes. Everyone does including Bush who cannot seem to admit that. There was only one perfect person that walked this earth and that was Jesus Christ. Everyone else makes mistakes!
I pray that God blesses President Obama, The USA, the rest of the world and that we can all live in peace. Casper4
