I retired in 2008 after thirty years in public education. Most recently, I served as lead counselor in a 5A high school in Round Rock, Texas. I am a licensed professional counselor and national board certified.

After I retired, I was employed with the Texas Education Agency here in Austin in the Program Monitoring and Interventions Division. The travel (50%) was killing me, so I moved over to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board as a Program Specialist VI. I am now the Communications and Vertical Tuning Team Coordinator there.

I am blissfully married to my best friend, Hector.

I love my two dogs, a Maltipoo, Mia, and a Siberian Husky, Jonah. You can see them in their "award-winning" (we took first place at Petsmart) Halloween costumes in my gallery. They also visited Santa!
