i need to know if installing the 7 dlls required for vista twice in the system 32 folder in windows will have any adverse effects on my computer. i was told to install them and when i went to install i already had them so kept clicking skip instead of copy or replace, but at end it extracted the zip of all them again. so i believe i now have two sets of them in there. the vdladreneline plugin i was trying to use before still does not work. it fades out my pspx2 and freezes up so i only can x out of the program entirely. i am mainly concerned whether having two sets of the same thing in the system 32 folder will be a problem, though i still don't know why i cannot get the plugin to work for me also. if anyone knows the answer to this, please let me know. i am really nervous about having to do anything in the system 32 folder for fear of messing things up totally. i know there are some very knowlegable people here. thanks for any help.

Hi Mouse Gap....... I really don't know anything about Vista as I still have XP.... But I'm wondering why 7 dlls were needed...never heard of so many...... I only had make sure I had 2 Dlls which I listed on another post about plugins.....

Did you try do a search of each dll by the exact name it should show how many you have.... just delete one from there.....

Have you deleted the plugin and then found it from another plugin site.. you might have gotten a corrupt file of it..... I've never had any problems with that set of plugins.. try that and if that doesn't help I could send my files see if they work.......  sorry couldn't be more help.......

Moosey, I share your fear of the system 32 files.  I still haven't found out if I have all 7 dlls that Vista requires.  I know I have 4, but I wouldn't know the names of those even.  I seldom go into my system32 files.  Just downright paranoid I'll mess something up, so you have company.  Sorry I'm not of any help, other than sympathy.

for whatever reason the plugin i was trying to use, vdladreneline keeps crashing my pspx2 even though it appears to be installed correctly. i guess i just cannot use it. it made snow effects and i was trying to do a tut. i haven't built up the courage to go back into my system32 to hunt down the doubles and for the time being they don't appear to be causing any problem.

I have the same problem with MuraMeister, keeps crashing my PSPX2.  I'm just going to delete it and try to download it again.  I don't have vdladreneline downloaded so I can't say if it's a problem or not.  Keep at it!
