Given the high price of gas these days,certain idividuals have taken to stealing license plates off other peoples cars.They put the plates on their own car ,go and get gas and then take off without paying.The gas station will have your license plate #  and you could be in trouble for "pump and run".Check your car often to make sure you still have a plate.If you find it missing ,file a report immediately .When the license plate is reported as the                     "drive off" vehicle,it is you they will contact. So be aware.

That one has been going around for several years now.  Checkout what snopes.com has to say about it.  Of course, if we tell everyone about this sort of stuff there will always be some idiot that says, 'Boy, that's and idea!  I think I'll try it because I can't afford the price of gas.'  What I'm trying to say is this: It's best not to put ideas in thieves' heads so they can go out and cause more crime.
