About 25 years ago, I did a training course for the 'Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme'. When we passed, we were presented with our certificates by HRH Prince Edward, in Balloch Country Park. It was one of the proudest days of my life, not meeting the Prince, but passing the course. It was pretty cool to get the certificate from Prince Eddie as well. This was during my scouting period. I trained up to Bronze and Silver Award, so I could leed expeditions of scouts trying to achieve their awards. I enjoyed this period of my life.

That must have been doubly exciting for you!!

Coincidentally, Prince Edward paid our city a brief visit just yesterday.  He's one of my favorite 'royals'.
