Baked Spaghetti

(Love this recipe because you don't have to cook the pasta first)

1 pound more or less uncooked spaghetti (I use enough to cover the bottom of the 9 x 13 pan.)
1 can or jar of your favourite spaghetti sauce, standard size 26-26 1/2 oz.
1 can or jar of water

1 pound ground beef, browned and drained.  Cooked chicken, or leftover grilled Italian sausage can also be used.

Extra herbs or spices you like    a small can of mushrooms, touch of olive oil, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese for top.

In a foiled greased 9x13 pan break the dry uncooked spaghetti into the pan in whatever size pieces you like. Put which ever cooked drained meat you are using over the pasta.

In a bowl combine the sauce and the same amount of water, whatever size your sauce is just fill the can or jar with water. Stir that together and then add any additions you would like. (i.e. mushrooms, spices, parmesan cheese)

Pour that over the dry spaghetti and meat in the pan, make sure the pasta is completely covered.

Cover the pan tightly with foil and bake at 350 for about an hour, ovens are different so check it.

Uncover and put mozzarella over the top about the last 20 minutes or so of cooking. I think this would work with any pasta but you have to be careful about the amount or it could come out too dry.

(I also use a combination of Mozerella and Cheddar Cheese on top)

Enjoy!
