Leave it to me to look stupid one more time. 

I was trying to post one more time in the Party Time thread and embed a YouTube Video code in my post, but when I tried to preview it before posting it, my post just hung. Oh dear! 

I sure wish there was a way for us to delete or edit our own posts when we mess up.  I usually do the preview first, but this time that is when it hung.

I'm not sure what to do now?   I guess we could start another party link.

I'm investigating what we can do, I see there isn't a box to post in after yours, and have asked the question. Don't worry about it, once I get the answer we can either fix it or start another thread. Whatever it is, it's not your fault.

an edit button would be very handy,many times I'd like to delete and start again or fix typos.

Aww, thanks Barb.  I'm also wondering if we hit some sort of a thread limit.  I know this had happened with the Word Association thread.

However, since I was posting and trying to include the YouTube code, I'd better make sure I know what I'm doing next time.  Usually when I add a YouTube video in a post, I just add the URL, but noticed some members must be including the code so the title and play button shows in the post - much nicer!

 That's what I think I messed up, so I will also make sure I know what should work.

I think I just copied and pasted the code from the Embed field in YouTube and maybe I needed to add the pair of tags before and after the URL, ie [youtube]....[/youtube]. 

Maybe someone like GillR or Altara33606 will let us know what they use or I'll ask in the Help forum.

to embed a video I click HTML button. I have found if I just type something on the post and delete it the code comes up and I put the video code before the

before the end 'p'. This board is being silly.

I don't think we've had enough posts for it to be at the end yet.

Just a tip...I always hit 'preview' first...just to be sure it's there, lol.   Cause when you do imbed the video...it'll have the red X in corner--till you submit; but it'll show up if you hit preview first.
