First Sighting: My first sighting occurred in Beaverton, Oregon in the early 60's. One hot July evening I went outside to lay in the lounge chair on the patio and just look at the stars. While looking up, I saw a small, fast moving light and thought it was a satellite. As it moved rapidly across the sky from south to north, it suddenly made a 90 degree (right angle) turn. I thought, to myself, that's rather strange, it can't possibly be a plane or a satellite - it's impossible for them to make right angle turns. I continued to watch the light as it zigzagged across the sky making first a right turn, then a left turn, right, left, right, left until it was out of sight. What was it? Could it have been? Was this my first UFO sighting?
Second Sighting: (August 16, 1992 - Tigard, Oregon) I had gone out to Oregon for my oldest daughter's wedding. While she and her new husband were on their honeymoon, I stayed at her apartment in Tigard, Oregon to babysit my granddaughter. The evening of August 16th I poured myself a Pepsi and went outside to sit on the patio and have a cigarette. It was approximately 10 p.m. It was a hot, clear night and I started looking at the stars. I saw planes flying overhead in various directions -- and then the strangest and weirdest thing happened. The sky above me became totally black -- no stars, no planes -- just total darkness. Then I saw them! Lights that were either orange or amber in color, approximately eight to 10 of them in an arced row and each light had the apprearnce of being 'V' shaped. Whatever it was had to be enormous and there was absolutely no sound. The lights and the blackness glided over the apartment building moving towards the east across the sky above me. I got up and started walking across the backyard in the same direction that the lights were moving. Then, all of a sudden, it just disappeared -- as if the craft had tilted upward so that the lights were no longer visible. This was not a plane or even a series of planes. This was gigantic! What I saw was at least as big in length as the apartment building. It blacked out the sky as far as my peripheal vision could see while I looked above and towards the lights gliding across the sky. (Note: In June 1997, NBC Nightly News had a report on the UFO lights that had been seen in Arizona. What they showed was exactly what I had seen in Oregon five years earlier.)
Third Sighting: (August 18, 1992 - Tigard, Oregon) As I again sat on the patio this evening at approximate 9:30 p.m. I glanced up and to my left which would have been looking towards the north. I saw a light that looked like a perfect circle-shaped disc travelling across the sky from west to east at an enormous amount of speed while leaving a light trail the same circumference as the circle itself. I could not tell how large it was or how fast it was travelling; however it disappeared from sight within 3-5 seconds. It did not appear to be a meteor, comet or halogen spotlight, in fact I would have to say it was none of those things, but another unidentified flying object. LOOK TO THE SKIES!
