Does anyone here have a widescreen monitor?  I just got one.  I heard they are what is replacing all of the CRTs.  I have a 24" widescreen.   I am interested to know how the layouts look on your monitor.  I do know that not everyone will be getting a 24" widescreen.  But I did view a few pages in the 19 to 20".

I noticed that my new monitor does not show the layouts the same as the CRT did.  There is a lot of dead space.  It's a ugly gray.

I guess I will be sure to put in a background color for now on.

My normal resolution is 1920x1080.  Everything looks fine on the monitor no glitches there.  It's just if I go to a page that is using a 800x600 or 1024x768 resolution for the page i have a lot of dead space.  All widescreens do this.  Changing the resolution to the normal 1024x768 has everything on the page huge.   The set up of my monitor is fine.  It's just that not everyone is using the resolution 1024x768.  I am not sure if this will be the norm resolution in years to come.  I am sure it will change.

Some times people don't know that they can change things to make them better. And as old computers are replaced it will probably go away. Suzn
