Hi everyone,

Someone contacted me and asked if I could tell them how to do a step-by-step instruction on adding her Yahoo account to Outlook. Is that possible? I thought the answer might be in an archived Info Newsletter, but I wouldn't have any idea where to look.

Would appreciate any help!

Thanks!

In my Outlook I go to Tools Accounts and add from there. Where it says POP or IMAP mine would be mail.charter.net both for out going and incoming. she would just need that information I would guess it would be mail.yahoo.com. Even if you put in the wrong information you can delete the mail box for that e-mail. I only have one there as it is easier than changing mail account each time. they don't just all open when you open Outlook. You have to choose which account you want, but after you get used to it taint that bad. It is a walk thru so you can stop anytime you are unsure. Suzan

But what a fine spirit will mark Christ’s rule! “Come to me, all you who are toiling and loaded down,” said Jesus, “and I will refresh you. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am mild-tempered and lowly in heart, and you will find refreshment for your souls. For my yoke is kindly and my load is light.”—Matt. 11:28-30.

Thank you for your answers. I've let the woman know about this. Very interesting about the paid Yahoo account, though. That might very well be her problem!

Check using YPOPS (ypopsemail.com).  It's a free program that allows you to integrate YAHOO mail (yes even the free version) into your POP/SMTP account.

Thanks for the info about 'plus'.   I thought it was MY fault that I couldn't configure it. What I ended up doing was to let my other email account 'import' the yahoo mail--so when that downloads automatically into Outlook, I get the yahoo mail as well.
