I am having trouble with a couple of things.

1. I can't always get in straight away with my username or password, I always have to do it at least twice.

2. I have had this one before, not all my messages or comments come through to my inbox. The first  time it happened it was not long after I have joined. I always delete my messages except 3 messages from the hill incase I have the problem again,  after I have read them in my own  inbox my email address that is when I started having troubles. Now last night which I wasn't feeling too good & I ended leaving  2 of my messages now I don't receive any from the Hill.  So I clicked onto one of the  comments or message asking me if it is safe so I did now I have only 1 message left. Now I have only got one to click onto to get into the Hill. I cannot see if the  if it is in safe or blocked messages in my email address it doesn't show in either of them. It has been put in before now it isn't showing anywhere. Could you please sort all this out for me.

Pat.

Regarding logging in:  Have you allowed cookies on this site?  Have you told your computer to save your username and password?  By doing this, you do not have to login each time as it will be permanently set until you logoff.

Have you checked your email notifications to see if they have been turned on or off in Account Settings?

A lap top and PC [ tower ] work the same. If you have Vista you might see some difference in the screen and how your control panel shows, but most things are about the same. The email notifications that mouse is talking about is in your setting on the Hill. Go to My Accounts choose settings then open the Account setting there you will find choices of receiving e-mail notifications. Just check the ones that you want to use. Hope that this will work things out for you. Do you have a Hide read or ignore  or  Show all messages in your regular e-mail? If you have Hide read or ignore set once that you read your e-mail it will be hidden until youuse the show all. If you have Vista that is an option. It will be in the upper right hand part of the e-mail page right under search. Let me know. Suzan

But what a fine spirit will mark Christ’s rule! “Come to me, all you who are toiling and loaded down,” said Jesus, “and I will refresh you. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am mild-tempered and lowly in heart, and you will find refreshment for your souls. For my yoke is kindly and my load is light.”—Matt. 11:28-30.

Okay, as far as logging in:  Before you do this, make sure you have your password handy or haven't forgotten it.  Log out and then log in, enter your username, enter your password, check REMEMBER ME.  Now when you're done for the day, don't log out!  If you have cookies enabled when you come back to the Hill you should already be logged in.

I only have New Friends Request and New Forum Replies checked to receive email.  I figure that I will know immediately upon clicking on My Account if I have comment alerts or new messages, so I don't see the reason to reason emails on those (just fills up the mailbox).

Your Privacy Settings look good.
