I know I'm not supposed to ask about Smileycons here but I have no other choice. I was just using my Smileycons graphics and Avast gave a warning of a trogan horse. I had to move it to the chest because they  kept  putting the warning.   I tried to write to the contac section on Smileycons but was unable to do that either.  My smileycons gold with all my graphics is wiped out and I am so upset about this. Can anyone help me?

All avast users are having the same problem and more.. Avast is telling us that many programs are trojans..

Hope they get it fixed soon.. you might be wise to not do a scan as it has been reported that some computers do not have enough memory to handle all the false trojans it is finding..

Don't delete your program ..you will be very sorry as if you have an older version that was free you will not get it back..;-(

As noted, there are going to be false positives at times. If you get a warning about a program you have been running/using on your computer already, NEVER let an antivirus delete or put programs in chest. The warning window has an option saying ignore if you know and trust a program. It will also offer option to report the alert as a possible false positive. They use this information to track problems/false positives. Good programs don't all of a sudden go rogue/bad. If you are installing a program you have never used, and get a warning, and are not sure.. do a google on the program and on the warning. Most false positives are named something that does not exist.

Manually check for update on Avast as they already have another update as your auto-update may be a few hours behind depending on your location. Also, go to the website of your antivirus program and see if there is any specific info, and if there is a forum (AVAST does have a forum) check there as well.

You can reinstall the program.

Yes I know very well to trust Cloudeight and all they do. But they got in my way with those sirenes and such   I got flustered and forgot everything I ever knew. I'm not a young computer savvy person. I've learned everything I know from Cloudeight and I appreciate you so much. I wasn't slaming Smileycons EB.   I love it.   All I wanted to know was if I could get back all the graphics I had saved in there.   Clydene

I was too  Teresa, I thought for sure I was wiped out. They wouldn't let me ignore it just kept putting that thingie up there. I couldn't do anything but  do what I did.

You can ignore any warnings; the following tip for our newsletter explains how:

As long as someone mentioned Smileycons, where is the folder where they are all stored? I wanted to import them into my Incredimail program. By the way, a very big thank you to Cloudeight for telling everyone about Incredimail. What a great program! It is very close to OE which made the learning curve very fast. Thank you.

You don't have to 'import' them anywhere. Just open your SMileycons--put your cursor on the little 'down arrow' next to the 'sun' (that's Universal)--on the drop down menu, click on Incredimail.  That will 'set' the program for use with Incredimail.  You can change it back to Universal later.

Also...on "Options"--click LOCAL EMAIL MODE.  But Remember: if you want to go back to using Smileycons on the hill later, you MUST uncheck that!

That works for me.  Have fun!
